Shop Foreman
We are an established electrical service company looking for a Shop Foreman who will be the primary employee responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing material, tools, equipment, and products to project team members and maintaining records of equipment and its maintenance. The duties in this role include:
- Be responsible for service and repair of tools, equipment and vehicles in the company's fleet
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of mechanics, fabricators and other tradesmen
- Make sure invoices and work orders are properly coded and submitted by the team on time
- Stay updated with production schedules and work orders to make sure required materials and equipment are ready and at the right locations
- Purchase all parts and necessary maintenance materials
- Make sure inventory and equipment is stored in the proper areas
Experience is a must for this role. The successful applicant needs 3-5 years experience as a Shop Foreman, and 10 years experience in construction or a related field using both heavy equipment and small tools. They should have strong leadership skills and know safety regulations and procedures well. They also need excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
